New SimCity BuildIt guidelines, Methods & tactics

SimCity BuildIt provides plenty of challenges for players that like city-building and resource-collecting games. These Tips, simcity buildit cheats org as well as tactics will help strong town-organizers out by making sure their city’s starting foundation is as solid as possible.

Plan Ahead

Each time you set a residential zone at SimCity BuildIt, keep in mind that if the zone isn’t insured by the necessary city services, then the building will ultimately become abandoned and will not generate any tax income for you. That is awful.

You want to get the best coverage possible, therefore placing a fire station directly from the corner of your city zone isn’t the smartest move, because the fire station’s area of impact will be overflowing to the deadzone, where you can not construct.

Also, keep in mind that factories and service buildings do not need to be coated by firefighter/police/etc. protection. Notice the way in the image above I’ve positioned my two fire stations to blanket the residential places, but left the industrial structures (bottom left) well out of the zone.

Sell Your Excess

Your factories should always be functioning. As you play, queue up some of the resources together with the faster turn-around, and before you leave the game to go do something else, queue up some of the tools that require prolonged amounts of time to produce.

Sometimes thought bubbles pop up using a golden coin inside them. If they’re popped, a city informant tells you of their potential to market your resources for some coins. Unless the deal is actually weak, it’s best to always market the lower-tier tools, as you can always get them back in a few minutes using the factories anyway.

Same goes factories and city services like government buildings and plants. There is also no charge for paving roads.

Bearing this in mind, it can make getting out of a poorly-planned scenario super simple: simply extend the road out and fold it around, or simply drag it into a dead-end. Then move the buildings that you need to move out of the way to the freshly-paved road, then rotate the structures in and out as needed. When you are all done you can delete the new road, or simply leave it and have it become a part of your city.

The Path to Nowhere Success

Dead-ends are your friends in SimCity BuildIt.

Look at my city in the image above; note that extending out of the side of the city is a long road all by itself? At the end of that road is the sewage processing plants that maintain my city smelling fresh. They smell awful, which is the reason why they are all the way up there.

Because roads are free, there’s absolutely not any reason why you shouldn’t maintain these stinky buildings (factories included) as far away from your residents as possible. While their location comes with an area-of-effect stink-zone, their solutions provided do not. As long as they’re attached to the road, they’ll service the city, no matter how far out you put them.

Expand With Caution

I discovered that I was constantly getting access to more residential places than I could support. Sure I could plop down buildings alongside new roads…but I lacked the finances to support those houses with utilities and solutions.

After a little, I realized that’s ok, and instead I focused my efforts on enhancing what I had.

Resist the urge to fill your whole map with buildings and roads. Bear in mind, the bigger the building is, the more people are able to dwell inside, and most of those folks are going to pay taxes.
